Goals

The primary goals of all YMCAs is to grow strong minds, strong bodies and strong communities. The YMCA is committed to each of these goals. Following our Founders Campaign, The YMCA of NWA Board of Directors will be further researching the needs of the area and develping goals specific to your YMCA community.

The Goals of our Founders Campaign are:

1. The YMCA of NWA is a start-up organization developing to promote ties among all community members to build strong families, strong kids and strong communities throughout Northwest Arkansas. The YMCA of NWA will help community members grow and be healthy in mind, body and spirit.

2. The primary goals of the Founders Campaign are to assess the community support for this valuable mission and to obtain the funds needed for the development of the YMCA of NWA.

3. The specific target is to raise $600,000 in pledges for the next three years (approximately $200,000 per year). These base funds will offer the YMCA Board of Directors the opportunity to recruit and hire an Executive Director. In addition, these funds will provide for a large portion of the operating expenses during the first three years of development.

4. The charge of the Executive Director will be to develop and implement some of the programs and offerings the Y will eventually offer. In addition, the Executive Director will be responsible for administrative duties, organization of the study for a permanent facility location, and be the primary point of contact with the public.
